Frequently Asked Questions
How is WGA different from other online academies?
WGA accepts learners that might not succeed on other online venues. We are in direct contact with parents/students before classes even start to learn about each child’s learning differences and tailor instruction to meet these individual needs and provide accommodations.
What do you mean by accommodations?
Some students have specific learning differences that require tailored instruction. This might be the use of audiobooks instead of printed books, more visual coursework instead of audio, or the reverse, extra time on tests, graph paper for math, etc. All of our instructors have experience in customizing instruction to meet these individual needs.
Are your teachers qualified?
All of our teachers have many, many years of teaching experience in public, private, homeschool, and online classes.
Why do you require headsets and video cameras?
Using a headset greatly improves the audio of a video conference. It not only reduces outside noise for the instructor but for the student as well, allowing the student to be free from distractions in his environment. It also provides better audio for the teacher to hear the students’ input free from noise interference. As for video, we have found that often when students turn their video feed off, they are less engaged in the learning environment. There is less of a temptation to get off task when you are on video and the teacher and other students can see that one is engaged.
Do I have to be a Christian to take classes at WGA?
No, you do not. We accept all students to come as they are, regardless of religious affiliation. As all of our teachers are Christians and followers of Jesus Christ, we do teach all of our classes from a Christian Worldview.
What Is Your Refund Policy?
All refunds must be requested through Admin@WillowGroveAcademy.com.
Refunds will be issued through the original payment method minus a $50 processing fee.
For classes paid in full before the start of the course, the following refund policy applies:

- We will refund 80% (minus the processing fee) if you withdraw from the course on or before August 21, 2023.
- We will refund 50% (minus the processing fee) if you withdraw from the course on or before October 1, 2023.
- No refunds will be issued after Oct. 1, 2023.
